Have you met TED?

The classic line from TV show How I Met Your Mother is also something that I want to ask you. Have you met TED?

TEDx to be exact. Where as TED is an organisation founded on a simple mission “ideas worth spreading”, TEDx is the local, independently organised, version of the larger organisation. AND ITS COMING TO CHRISTCHURCH.

On the 22nd of October local entrepreneur Kaila Colbin is hosting the first TEDx event to be run in Christchurch. Passionate about sharing ideas herself Kaila will be putting her weight behind the event as only she knows how.

Currently the speaker line up is being filled. If you think you have an idea worthy of being “On the Shoulders of Giant” (this years theme) then you can find the entry form here. Already the Chairman of Buy1Give1, Paul Dunn, and Barry Harris the Director of Sustainability at Fonterra are lined up to share their ideas.

So what does all this have to do with little old Vidhost. We are pleased to announce our partnership with TEDx on the video production side. Vidhost will be filming, editing and presenting both a Livestream feed direct to the internet as well as edited clips to be uploaded to the official TED video channel.

We are thrilled to be apart of such a forward thinking, global series of events and have a couple of online video ideas we are hoping to put into action before the event.
